Six out of ten people in “I want to travel abroad” show similar figures to the time of With Corona (60.8%).

58.2% of the respondents said they are considering traveling abroad (24.4%) + overseas travel plans, but it is still premature: 33.8%) when asked about 3,000 men and women in their 20s and 60s nationwide. This figure is an increase of 13.8% from the beginning of December. Also, this figure is similar to the time point of With Corona (60.8%).

COVID-19 continues to spread, but the number of people considering traveling abroad tends to increase.

By respondent characteristics, men (62.1%) had a higher rate of considering overseas travel than women (54.3%).

The ratio of overseas travel considerations by age was in their 20s (66.5%), 30s (63.7%), 40s (56.4%), 50s (51.2%), and 60s (53.4%), and the younger the age, the higher the degree of consideration for overseas travel.

The lower the age, the lower the demand for overseas travel, the lower the risk perception for COVID-19, according to a COVID-19 planning survey conducted by polling agency PMI, the risk perception for COVID-19 was in their 20s (51.5%), 30s (51.9%), 40s (57.8%), 50s (65.8%), and 60s (69.9%). The risk perception of COVID-19 was relatively low among young people.

When asked when they were considering traveling abroad, 32.9% said they had no plans to travel abroad within the next two years, followed by “within one to two years” (30.7%), “within seven to 12 months” (21.9%), “within four to six months” (12.1%), and “within three months” (2.3%).

From this, it can be seen that respondents are considering traveling abroad, but not in the near future.
